Minister Krasniqi met with Claudia Luciani, Director of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe, and Mary-Ann Hennessey, Head of the Council of Europe Office in Pristina

The meeting focused on strengthening local self-government and advancing democracy at the municipal level. Discussions were focused on structured dialogue with municipalities, local competencies and financing, municipal property, inter-municipal cooperation, and recommendations from the report on the implementation of the European Charter of Local Self-Government.

Minister Krasniqi emphasized that the Ministry of Local Government Administration (MLGA) remains committed to regular dialogue, institutional cooperation, and finding concrete solutions in the interest of municipalities and citizens.

Cooperation with the Council of Europe will continue moreover, with the aim of further strengthening democracy and local self-government.
